The Executive Board of Local 589 were active participants in the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Political Convention held September 15-16th, where Organized Labor took up candidate endorsements after the primaries. Tyrell Sullivan, who operates buses on the Route 73 between Harvard Square and Waverly Square, won the MBTA’s annual bus roadeo Sunday in Charlestown. It’s the second roadeo title for Sullivan, a 29-year old South Boston resident, who has been with the MBTA for almost nine years. The MBTA has more than 1,400 bus operators. …
