Help Shape the Next Generation of Local 589 Bus Operators
The Local 589 Bus Operator Mentorship Program is a volunteer pilot program that pairs experienced bus operators with newer members to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical advice. As a volunteer mentor, you’ll commit to activities such as training sessions, ride-alongs, regular communication with your mentee, and other opportunities to help new operators succeed.
Who Should Apply?
Current Local 589 bus operators who:
- Have 4 or more years of experience
- Demonstrate safe, responsible, and professional work habits
- Have a positive attitude and are respected by their peers
- Want to volunteer to help new members succeed
