The regular meeting of the membership will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the Boston Teachers Union Hall (180 Mount Vernon St., Dorchester, MA). The BTU Hall is behind the State Police Station near Columbia Rd. and Morrissey Blvd. The location is also accessible via the Red Line.NOTE : A Vote will be taken on the proposed bylaw change to Section 6 to Read:
It shall be the duty of the Vice President/Assistant Business Agent in the absence of the President/Business Agent to preside and perform all duties pertaining to the office of the President/Business Agent, and to render such assistance as may be required of him or her. “It shall be the duty of the Vice President/Assistant Business Agent to assist Delegates with their duties. He or she shall organize and visits to the different station, shops, and departments of the local union to keep a closer touch with not only the membership but the events in which may be transpiring throughout the Local Union. He or she shall meet with all shop stewards and delegates to ensure that all of the Local’s Union’s duties are being performed as required.” In case of a vacancy in the President/Business Agents office he or she shall preside until the Local Union elects a President/Business Agent to fill the vacancy.” He or she shall attend all regular and special meetings of this Local Union.
