Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We’re speaking up and rolling out to oppose deep service cuts and layoffs at the MBTA. All Local 589 members, who are not working, and retirees are strongly encouraged to attend this Thursday’s (11/19) rally at 10 a.m. on foot, car, bike, or online.
- Cars and bikes: Gather at 10 a.m. on Summer St in the Seaport District for a Rolling Rally past the Transportation Building. The line-up will start at the intersection of Summer and Melcher St. Stay tuned for more details on our route!
- On foot: Gather at 10 a.m. at 135 Stuart St, in front of the State Transportation Building, to hear from riders and workers who would be affected by the deep cuts. Wear a mask! We will be following social distancing protocols.
- Online: Watch the rally via the Community Labor United’s Facebook page or via this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89521213415.
Time to fight folks. Get up and get motivated. We are in it together and when we fight, we win. To learn more about our coordinated campaign to stop these draconian service cuts, visit https://publictransitpublicgood.org.
