Jim was hired on the T as an operator in August of 1985 at Bennett Street Garage.
He went full time at Bartlett/Arborway garage in 1986 and went back to Bennett Street during the system pick in 1987. Jim worked mostly nights at Bennett until he was elected in 2002 as the Delegate for Division Three.
He is a delegate to the Greater Boston Labor Council and a delegate to the New England Conference of Unions of the ATU. He also attended the Labor Guild for Industrial Relations. Jim was appointed as an alternate member of the Retirement Board in March of 2005.
Jim grew up in Charlestown and graduated high school at Christopher Columbus High School. He lives in Medford with his lovely wife, Linda and 2 children, Matthew and Jennifer.
